The first writing was launched with a specially-produced video. In her writing, the shape-shifters are revealed to be Animagi, or wizards and witches who can transform into an animal at will. However, Rowling gives this tale a twist. It explores the world of Native American magic folk, and references the Navajo legend of shape-shifting “skin walkers”.
